The Supreme Court has upheld the judgement of a Rivers State high court which nullified the congress that brought Ojukaye Flag Amachree as the state chairman of APC, and the primaries that produced Tonye Cole and other candidates of APC in the state.
The apex court also ruled that the legal adviser of the state chapter of the party, Mr Chiweinkpe Chieme is the person authorised by the party's constitution to represent it in any legal matter, and not Mr Fagbemi that was brought in by the NWC of the party.
Recall that Amaechi's faction had approached the supreme court to appeal the judgments of Rivers State high court and court of appeal that sacked Ojukaye-led exco of Rivers State chapter of APC.
This seems end of the road for Tonye and other APC candidates in Rivers State with this judgment.
